Fashion is beautiful; however, there is the dark side behind the fast fashion industry which could be developed on many tears of workers in non-Western countries such as China,Vietnam, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. Fast fashion brands such as Zara, Forever 21, H&M, Target, and Wal-Mart are the main customers of the factories in these non-Western countries. Our rapacious consumption of cheap clothing and textile products has influenced on the poor working environment. In addition, the tyranny of the fast fashion companies on subcontractors in China,Vietnam, Indonesia, and Bangladesh has made the quality of the workers’ lives worse. For example, workers in Shanghai which is the biggest textile city in China are paid by the piece and earn a few cents for each shirt they help assemble. Clothing factories in China,Vietnam, Indonesia, and Bangladesh have many problems such as not only small amount of wage but also the poor working condition including dust, harmful dyeing material, and extra night work. Even there are many children workers who stoped to go to school and work for supporting their family. The recent fire in a Bangladesh sewing factory which was built by cheap concrete and wire is the tragedies killed over 100 workers and one of many examples of how retailer’s and consumer’s addiction to low prices and fast fashion effects the lives of  workers.
